The Leverhulme Community Hub is a multi-purpose facility where we run a range of events throughout the year, with rooms available for hire.
Situated in the heart of Leverburg, we are home to the Aosd’ is Ùr charity shop, a launderette, the South Harris Historical Society and a gym.
The Hub is also the new home for the Harris Tapestry.

Our Services
Charity Shop
Tuesday – Saturday
10am – 4pm
Our charity shop, Aosd’ is Ùr (Old and New) is run by volunteers.
If you’re interested in volunteering, please get in touch!
Launderette
Monday – Saturday
9am – 9pm
We have a self-service coin-operated launderette, open to the public.
It comprises of 3 washing machines and 3 tumble dryers.
A wash is £6.
Gym
Now open!
Room Hire
There are rooms available for hire in Leverhulme Community Hub including a multi-purpose room with a servery, an exhibition area and a meeting room.

We hope to bring a Post Office to the Hub in the future.
How did it all happen?
The Leverhulme Community Hub Steering Group and Board
What started out as a dream is now becoming reality. In October 2015, the South Harris Community Council and Leverhulme Memorial School Parent Council called a public meeting to figure out what to do with the old Primary building at Leverhulme Memorial School which lead to the creation of the Leverhulme Community Hub Steering Group and subsequent Board.
